Dear music friends,

the MundoArte association is happy to welcome you to the first edition of the International Chamber Music Festival of Isla Cristina. With this unique cultural event in the province of Huelva, the association MundoArte wishes to promote classical music at the highest level in Andalusia and enrich the tourism and cultural offer of Costa de la Luz.


MASTERS OF MUSIC


The programme for this first edition includes internationally renowned artists as the young pianist from Sevilla Juan Pérez Floristán, the exceptional oboist Daniel Fuster and the Trio Schallmoos from Salzburg: Nanni Malm- violin, Danka Nikolic- viola and Sissy Schmidhuber- cello, .all members of some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world as Camerata Salzburg and Munich Philharmonic.

A special thank to the City Council of Isla Cristina for the close collaboration and to the other companies, institutions and individuals who are supporting us and helping to make the International Chamber Music Festival of Isla Cristina possible.

Artists



Nanni Malm

Nanni Malm is member of Camerata Salzburg and a regular guest at the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Ensemble Musica Saeculorum, Münchner Philharmoniker and Luzern Festival Orchester.

Juan Pérez Floristán

Winner of the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the “Paloma O’Shea” Santander International Piano Competition and the First Prize of the Steinway Competition in Berlin (2015), as well as the Honorific Prize Juventudes Musicales in Madrid for his career, Juan Perez Floristán is already a beacon among the new generations of European musicians. He has played with orchestras such as the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic, Malmö Symphony, Radio Televisión Española, Seville Royal Symphony, Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, Gran Canaria Philharmonic, OBC from Barcelona, Malaga and Cordoba Symphonies.

Danka Nikolic

Danka Nikolic is winner of numerous national and international competitions. She is a regular guest at international festivals as a soloist, as well as a chamber musician. She is member of Camerata Salzburg and performs regularly with orchestras such as Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Balthasar-Neumann Ensemble (baroque viola), Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss and Kammerorchester Basel (solo viola).

Sissy Schmidhuber

Claudio Abbado was an advocate of the young artist during her studies and she performed as solo cellist under his baton. Sissy Schmidhuber joined the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra in 1994. In the same year she was both a founding member and Principle Cellist of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. In addition, she was regularly invited to perform with the Luzern Festival Orchestra.

Daniel Fuster

Daniel Fuster has been Solo oboe of some of the most important orchestras in the world, such as Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, HR- Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, Orquesta del Palau de Les Arts, Orquesta del Gran Teatre del Liceu, among many others. He is performing regularly as a soloist, as well as a chamber musician. Daniel Fuster is professor for oboe at the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona.
